Mobile Centre launches another pioneering innovation in field research. Based on a self-developed application, interviews are recorded using Android, the fastest growing platform of the moment. Field Research+ is now available on handy net books and smart phones. Thanks to this development all devices have the ability to respond even better to the character and construction of any face-to-face research.

The new generation of Android tablets, but also Windows tablets, are a perfect complement to the Field Research+ iPads. The net books have a more manageable size for superior research, for example in busy locations.

All-in and tested

The new application includes several built-in counters to enter features such as the location and time of registration. Other plus points are the speed, the touch screen and the display quality: ideal for photos, slide shows and videos. The testing phase carried out at our exclusive Amsterdam Schiphol Airport location produced excellent results.

With the Field Research+ application for Android, the portfolio is absolutely up-to-date. In addition to the tablets and smart phones, Mobiel Centre offers a variety of devices and mixed mode modules on this platform. The application developed by Mobiel Centre ensures that the field work is self-sufficient. Our devices can operate totally autonomously: if there is limited, overloaded, secured or no network. The data is then stored locally to unlock later.

 25 years of innovation

This new application of Field work+ is based on our experience with the handheld, face-to-face data collection instrument. In the first instance that was the Apple Newton, mid-1990s. That was followed by the PDA technique that has been in operation since 2000.

The latest iPad and Archos modifications that perfect the hybrid system, seamlessly integrate with our final tests in environments with an extremely wide range of WiFi networks such as Amsterdam Schiphol Airport.
